I adopted my cat Chuckaloo in January of 2019. She has been such a fun addition to my little family! Shortly after bringing her home, I noticed she was having a lot of discomfort and red, itchy skin around her face and neck. She would scratch herself so excessively that she would draw blood and leave scabs all over her face!
After several visits to the vet hospital and several rounds of allergy injections, we believe Chuckaloo’s skin reaction was due to a food allergy! We quickly switched her food over to Hill’s Feline Z/D, special food for sensitive skin and food allergies. She was a bit wary at first, but she adjusted pretty quickly, and now her hypoallergenic treats are her favourite! Within a couple of weeks, her skin had cleared up, and there was no more itching!
The food we switched Chuckaloo to is called Hill’s Feline Z/D. It is a special food made for cats who have food allergies and intolerances. It comes in dry kibble and also wet canned food. It contains hydrolyzed proteins, which will help with digestion and will also eliminate food-related skin problems! It also has many antioxidants, which work to maintain a healthy immune system.
